Word/Image: Talitha koum
“Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.” But they laughed at him.
After he put them all out, he took the child’s father and mother and the disciples who were with him, and went in where the child was. He took her by the hand and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”). Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around.
Mark 5: 39-42
Father of the Dance of Life, Jesus the Physician of our souls, and Holy Spirit the ointment of Love and Renewal, call us back from death into Life. Lord, take our pulse and pump vitality into our hearts. Speak Your Word and we shall be saved. Spread the warmth of Your Healing throughout our bodies and souls. Protect us from doubts and disdain. Cast aside the limits of our sacred imagination that keep us from thriving. Help us answer Your call to hope and trust in You. We long to answer Your summons. Bolster our faith that we may accept more and more of Your Mercy and Love. We accept Your Hand extending to us, and rely on Your strength to draw us out of darkness into Light. Lord, we know we will rise with you. Father, thank you for giving us souls. Jesus, we adore You and surrender everything in our lives to You. And Beautiful Spirit, recreate us into eternal human creatures imperishable in the Perfection of Love. “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.”* AMEN
* Psalm 4: 8
Word/Image: a sign that will be contradicted
“Behold, this child is destined
for the fall and rise of many in Israel,
and to be a sign that will be contradicted
–and you yourself a sword will pierce–
so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”
Luke 2: 34-35
Father of impossible Stories, Jesus the fullness of the Father’s Love, and Holy Spirit the Expiator of time’s hold on Life, redeem us from the damning grip of principalities controlling this world. How can Your Innocence be swallowed in Your Precious Blood? Before You could even declare the Word from Your human and Divine lips, blood soaked the land with the violence of our pride, greed, and thirst for power and importance. You laid aside Your Glory and subjected Yourself to our opposition to Your Healing and Love. Thank You for uniting Your cries with the downcast and downtrodden. You welcome everyone into Your Infinite Sacred Heart. Rise in our spirits that we may cross out the iniquities of our fallen natures. Teach us how to abandon ourselves to Your Will. Let each fall be an opportunity to be caught in the Arms of Your endless Mercy. Father grant us a small part as co-participants in accepting our inheritance from You. Jesus we adore You – thank You for setting us free. And Beautiful Spirit of God, deliver us from all evil and wrap us in blessings of Love. “Give me a sign of your goodness, that my enemies may see it and be put to shame, for you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.”* AMEN
* Psalm 86: 17
Word/Image: Veni Sanctus Spiritus (Come Holy Spirit)
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
Romans 8: 26-27
Father, who breaks through every wall we erect between us, and the Divine Law of Love, Jesus the Will and Obedience of Love made incarnate, and Holy Spirit the mysterious Movement of God’s Love, breathe Life into our listless hearts and souls. Lord, there are times when it can be so hard to pray. We reach out to You but feel nothing. Our mouths are dry, and our minds are blank. We struggle to make any connection with You, others, and ourselves. Refresh our weary spirits with sacrifices of prayer that humble us while they bring us into Your Presence. Give voice to our wordless spiritual aches. Whether it be our heaviness, our doubts, our stumbling hopes, or our giving into apathy, we trust that it is only a temporary condition that You have allowed. May these tests make us more dependent upon You. Dig a well in us full of fresh prayers of praise and gratitude that rise from Your Spirit deep within us. Send forth Your Spirit and renew our passion to live in the sweet Truth of Your Perfect Will. Father hallowed be thy name. Jesus feed us heart, mind, soul, and body. And Beautiful Spirit, rouse our hearts to experience more of Your Love that continually makes all things new. “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.”* AMEN
* Psalm 51: 10-12
Word/Image: blessed be my Rock
I love you, Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Psalm 18: 1-2
Father our Mighty Fortress, Jesus the Defender of our Souls, and Holy Spirit the Sanctuary of Love always open, always moving and immune to any attack, deliver us from all evil. We accept Your invitation to love and become Your Love. Grant us a distaste for anything that is an affronting wound to Your Perfect Freedom encapsulated in the Fullness of Your Love. In You Oh God we find our solid ground. Steady our walk on the Path You place before us. Help us to secure the flags of our fragile identities and broken egos on the Rock of Your Mercy, Wisdom, and Love. Please teach us how to find shelter through our constant prayers and conversations with You. May we grow in the speed and confidence of our spiritual reflexes in bringing you every situation, question, doubt, concern, worry, and relationship that consumes our attention and thoughts. We place our trust and hope in You. Father we bless You. Jesus we surrender our lives to You. And Beautiful Spirit transform our lives into testimonies of Your Love. “My salvation and my honor depend on God; He is my mighty rock, my refuge.”* AMEN
* Psalm 62: 7
Word/Image: Boast
It is due to him that you are in Christ Jesus,
who became for us wisdom from God,
as well as righteousness, sanctification, and redemption,
so that, as it is written,
Whoever boasts, should boast in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 1: 30-31
Father You are our All in All, Jesus You are our God and King with a human face, and Holy Spirit You are the Fire of Love that burns through every triviality of our lives to bring us into the Holy Presence of God the Most High, we will boast in You. Please come and make a home in our hearts and spirits. We are empty shells. No matter what we might achieve, how we succeed, or how “good” we are, we have nothing without You. Release us from pride, arrogance, and vanity. Help us to grow in humility. Pour the Wisdom of Your Love into our hearts. Redeem and sanctify us through the Blood of Christ. Jesus “although [You] existed in the form of God, [You] did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped.”* Father we will boast with our endless praise and thanksgiving for Your Goodness and Greatness. Jesus, pray that we might be granted every Grace we need to die to ourselves and live in You. And Beautiful Spirit ignite our souls with Your purifying Fire of Love. “May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.”** AMEN

Word/Image: Hold fast to the Word
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3: 16-17
Father the Heart and Speaker of the Word, Jesus the Word made flesh, and Holy Spirit bringing the Word to Life through the Bond of Love, let us come into Your Holy Presence. Enlighten our minds with Your Great Wisdom. Plant Your Words of Love and Joy deep in our hearts. Let Your Word coarse through our veins oxygenating every intention, thought, word, and action so that we might always give Glory to You. Your Word is not idle. Your Word is not barren. Your Word is not deaf to the cries of pain, suffering, and injustice. Your Word is always True. And Your Word forever shows us how to step into the mystery of Your Perfect Love. Therefore Lord, we will always hold fast to Your Word. Shine the Light of Your Word on our experiences. Strengthen our faith and help us use Your gifts of intellect and reasoning to uncover nuggets of Grace that bring more of Your Love into the details of our lives. Father, we thank you for creating a beautiful, never ending, storied way for us to grow closer to You. Jesus take possession of us heart, mind, soul, and body that we might become a small piece of Your Word Incarnate. And Beautiful Spirit, inebriate us with the Word’s intimations of heavenly Love and Joy. “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”* AMEN
* Psalm 119: 105
Word/Image: Dwelling Place
Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
Ephesians 2: 19-22
Father Beyond all space and time, Jesus the fullness of God at the Heart of all things, and Holy Spirit the bond of Love enjoining our spirit with the Sacred, we bow before the splendor of Life beyond our imagination. Take root in the simple moment by moment movements defining our lives. May the intersection of heaven and earth manifest itself with every humble prayer of praise and petition we present to you. Let no space of relationship, interaction, or meaning be devoid of our acknowledgement of Your constant Powerful and Loving Presence with us. Connect us heart to heart with You and with each other. Then pour in an overflowing portion of Your Grace and Mercy. We hand You the keys to our spirits to come and make Your everlasting dwelling place in us. Empower us to lock arms with each other to bring the fulfillment of Your Kingdom of Peace and Love to earth. Father, our true dwelling place is with You, the Son, and the Spirit in Heaven. Jesus, take Your rightful Throne of Love in our hearts. And Beautiful Spirit, feed us with the Sweetness of the Never Ending Creative Power of Love. “How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.”*
*Psalm 84: 1-2
Word/Image: Honor
Honor and proclaim God’s deeds,
and do not be slack in praising him.
A king’s secret it is prudent to keep,
but the works of God are to be declared and made known.
Praise them with due honor.
Tobit 12: 6-7
Father deserving of all our praise and love, Jesus the Great Work, and Worker of God’s Creative Unifying Majesty, and Holy Spirit the Radiant Light of Love that shines in and between all things, come and live in our hearts today. Help us to notice the myriad of ways You are constantly blessing us. Lord, You are Love and You stop at nothing to shower us in as much of Your Love as we can hold. You are the same yesterday, today, tomorrow, and forever. The Beat of Your Heart lifts all things higher and higher. Anoint us in Your Mercy. Draw us into the mysteries of Your Joys, and grant us every grace we need to participate more fully in Your Divine Will. Strengthen our voices of praise. Let us declare Your Great Works and Deeds with courage, passion, and faith. May the honor we pay You attract the hearts and souls of our brothers and sisters longing to know You but who feel lost. Father, we bow our head and offer songs of humble thanksgiving. Jesus we love You, adore You, and place our trust in You. And Beautiful Spirit, thank you for animating our lives with endless wonders of Love. “I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever.”* AMEN

Word/Image: Defile
“Hear me, all of you, and understand.
Nothing that enters one from outside can defile that person;
but the things that come out from within are what defile.”
Mark 7: 14-16
Father of Truth and Purity, Jesus the Flesh and Blood of God’s Love restoring our souls, and Holy Spirit the Order of Love animating the Mystical Body of Christ, wipe away our offenses, cleanse of our sins. Lord, we are quick to become enamored with concrete practices and convoluted rules of holiness that can distract us from knowing You and doing Your Will. Draw us into Your Holy Presence without any of our selfish baggage. Even as we know that You are always the Same You, we are never able to know You fully. May our desire to seek You exceed any of the temporary strictures we adopt to steady our run to You. Dismantle any initially well-meaning habits that interfere with Your Graces. Fill us with tireless, fresh, humble prayers of silence as we wait for You to intensify Your Light of Mercy and Love. We want to find ourselves, by losing ourselves in the Sacred pathways of Your Pierced Heart. Send us help to guard our hearts, and minds from seething within from any of our wickedness or pains. Father mold us Your Image. Jesus please never leave our sides. And Beautiful Spirit may the taste of Your Delicious Love leave us with a burning faith that cannot be shaken. “Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.”*
* Psalm 24: 3-4
Word/Image: Beloved Family
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Colossians 3: 12-14
Father the Head and Font of our Heavenly Family, Jesus our Brother and King, and Holy Spirit the intricately woven tapestry of Love connecting us with each other, gather us around Your Table. Feed us with a desire for the sanctity and holiness that You want to give us. Show us how to cultivate every virtue that will bring more of You to all of our relationships. Grant us hearts full of Your Compassion. May our brothers and sisters experience Your gentleness, kindness, forgiveness and patience reflected in us. Let our time on Earth with all of its ups and downs, joys and sadness, successes and failures, prepare us to live our eternal lives with You in endless Joy and Peace. We chose to dedicate ourselves to living in Your Divine Will. We beg for the grace to reject anything that will cause unnecessary discord in our biological families, and community families. Father, we humbly accept Your gift of our inheritance. Jesus, unify us with one another through our Communion in Your Body and Blood. And Beautiful Spirit, spread Your Wings of Fiery Love over our hearts and spirits. “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!”* AMEN

Word/Image: Overflowing torrent
For thus says the LORD:
Lo, I will spread prosperity over her like a river,
and the wealth of the nations like
an overflowing torrent.
As nurslings, you shall be carried in her arms,
and fondled in her lap;
As a mother comforts her child,
so will I comfort you;
Isaiah 66: 12-13
Father, Heart of Justice and Blessings, Jesus our Life Boat on waters of uncertainty, and Holy Spirit, Abundance of Love flowing to bring us Peace and endless Possibilities, draw us into strong currents of prayers and praise. Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.
Jeremiah 33: 3
Father speak to us, Jesus open the ears of our hearts, and Holy Spirit give us the wisdom to discern Your Voice of Love and Truth. Great are Your Ways. Help us to submit to You, that we might stretch in new directions. Father we are servants of Your Glory plant Your Word in us that we might bear Your Fruit. Jesus Your Words are Spirt and Life. And Beautiful Spirit break open the Word of Everlasting Joys and Love. “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”* AMEN

Word/Image: Blessed are the weeping
“Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
Revelation 21: 3-4
Father of Mercy and Comfort, Jesus Freedom from sin and our King, and Holy Spirit, Perfect Unblemished Love dwelling in and among all people and things, we place our trust in You. We pour out our hearts upon the pierced feet of Jesus. Nothing from this world can console us. When we realize how far we are from You, and how we are prone to falling down over and over again from the weight of our faults we easily lose heart. We do not seek perfection. We want to love you more nearly and dearly. Help us embrace Your statues of gentleness, kindness, compassion, humility, charity, modesty, hope, faith, tenderness, understanding, patience, and purity. May Your Seed of longing within our spirits sustain us in our stumbling run to You. Grant us the conviction to know that we are blessed by our brokenness, and that we are blessed by our tears. We imagine the day when Your Love is the complete Rule of our Hearts, Minds, Bodies, and Spirits. Father enfold us forever in the Embrace of Your Glorious endless Creation. Jesus show us the way into Your Sacred Heart. And Beautiful Spirit may the Delight of Your Love wipe away every tear from our hearts. “Sing the praises of the Lord, you his faithful people; praise his holy name. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.”* AMEN
* Psalm 30: 4-5
Word/Image: Trials & Tests
Consider it all joy, my brothers and sisters,
when you encounter various trials,
for you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
And let perseverance be perfect,
so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
James 1: 2-3
Father our Haven and Protector, Jesus our Healing Comfort and Strength, and Holy Spirit our Blanket of Perfect Love. May our trust in You vanquish every doubt and fear. Lord, sometimes we feel so feeble. We look to our right, we look to our left, we look in front of us, and we look behind us, and all we can see are calamities. It is easy to be discouraged by our trials, tests, and tribulations. Let us not forget that these are allowed by You. May each one bring us the joy of diving deeper into the mysteries of Your Divine Will. Replace the poverty in our spirits with the riches of Your Mercy. Through the Graces of Faith obtained through prayers and works, grant us perseverance. We invite Your Love to perpetually Order our lives with Your Goodness. Cast Your Inner Light in the darkest and coldest spots in our hearts. Father with Your Blessings we will embrace every situation with eagerness and hope. Jesus, please always instruct us, and even in Your silence grant us the Peace of Your constant Presence. And Beautiful Spirit we are confident that the burning Majesty of Your Wisdom and Love will triumph every time. “Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.”* AMEN
Psalm 16: 5-6
Word/Image: birth to death
Blessed is he who perseveres in temptation,
for when he has been proven he will receive the crown of life
that he promised to those who love him.
No one experiencing temptation should say,
“I am being tempted by God”;
for God is not subject to temptation to evil,
and he himself tempts no one.
Rather, each person is tempted when lured and enticed by his desire.
Then desire conceives and brings forth sin,
and when sin reaches maturity it gives birth to death.
James 1: 12-15
Father Holder of the keys to Life and Death, Jesus our antidote to every temptation, and Holy Spirit Anointer of Mercy and Love, liberate us from the lures of sin. Lord when we rely on ourselves we forsake the gift of Your Freedom to us. Our weaknesses and inherent drive to be in control of what we do and seeking things to please us as ends in and of themselves gets us in a world of trouble. A shallow dip into self-destructing activities, selfish ways of being, or cultivating habits that are contrary to Your Ways can rapidly snowball into more serious things. Save us from the death of sin. Help us focus on You. Keep us safe from distractions of mind, heart, and imagination that grab us with empty, alluring promises of gratification. Please make the Sacred Kingdom of Your Eternal Love our burning desire and “Soul” purpose. Sustain us in our earthly run to You with the graces of an ever growing faith in You. “Father lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.” Jesus pour Your Precious Blood on everything that offends You and weakens our relationship with You. And Beautiful Spirit anoint us with the Fire of Your Joy and Love that are meant to bring all things into Communion with one another. “I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”* AMEN
* Psalm 119: 10-11
Word/Image: slow to speak
Know this, my dear brothers and sisters:
everyone should be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger
for anger does not accomplish
the righteousness of God.
Therefore, put away all filth and evil excess
and humbly welcome the word that has been planted in you
and is able to save your souls.
James 1: 19-21
Father who gives Voice to Righteousness and Truth, Jesus our Heart of Perfect Listening, and Holy Spirit promoter of Words and Actions of Wisdom, Healing, and Love, make us instruments of Your Peace. Humble the rumblings of our minds. Uproot our thoughts that are selfish, mean spirited, judgmental, and contrary to Your Will. Soften our hearts with Your Compassion. Bring us a flood of Your Inner Light. Fill us with a desire to seek understanding. May we be quick to listen with all of our senses and weigh the value of Your Love in each word we speak. When we are inclined to react to people and situations we find upsetting, fill us with an abundance of Your Patience and Mercy. Absorb our hurts that trigger us and make us feel raw, so that we might be slow to anger and quick to respond with kindness and gentleness. We praise and thank you for making our souls a dwelling place of Your Goodness. Father, help us grow in our capacities to participate in Your eternally unfolding Plan of Love. Jesus, You model the Way and feed us with every Truth we need. And Beautiful Spirit, find us like hungry birds with mouths wide open waiting to be fed with Your Love. “I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations. I will declare that your love stands firm forever, that you have established your faithfulness in heaven itself.”* AMEN
* Psalm 89: 1-2
Word/Image: Groanings
Brothers and sisters:
The Spirit comes to the aid of our weakness;
for we do not know how to pray as we ought,
but the Spirit himself intercedes with inexpressible groanings.
And the one who searches hearts
knows what is the intention of the Spirit,
because he intercedes for the holy ones
according to God’s will.
Romans 8: 26-27
Father Maker and Keeper of our Souls, Jesus our enduring Voice of Prayer, and Holy Spirit the Power of Love that can obliterate the darkest pits of despair, lift us from our sorrows with Your Peace and Joy. Lord, let prayer become the center of our lives. Until we are in complete Communion with You and each other in heaven, bless us with prayers that are pure in heart and spirit, so that we can come into Your Holy Presence. Move us beyond empty words, selfish petitions, and spiritless recitations. Show us how to adopt a habit of prayer in all of its shapes and forms. Conform the fruits of our life through our intentions and actions to be prayers that honor Your Divine Will. When we are weary and find it hard to pray, please send us Your Spirit to intercede for us. Part the clouds of our confusion and come and sit with us. Lift up our anguish as prayer sacrifices to console the sufferings of Jesus’ Heart. Father, Your Perfect Word is our prayer. Jesus, unroll the scroll of Your prayers in our spirits that with every breath we may draw closer and closer to You. And Beautiful Spirit, build up Christ’s Mystical Body into a Glorious prayer of Your Love. “Light shines on the righteous and joy on the upright in heart. Rejoice in the Lord, you who are righteous, and praise his holy name.”* AMEN
Psalm 97: 11-12
Word/Image: Deny
“Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”
Mark 8:34
Father Humble and all Giving, Jesus the Perfect Selfless Sacrifice of Obedience, and Holy Spirit, the Fruition and Perpetuation of Love’s Triumph, show us the way to our crosses. How can we become more self-forgetting? Lord, we love to craft grand plans for how we think our life should unfold. We forget our eternal mission. Our time here seems so much more pressing. As we busy ourselves with self-importance, the Glory of Your Kingdom fades. Please instill in us a deep life of prayer and works so that we might always be sensitized to making You and serving others are number one priority. Show us how to abandon our lives to You. Help us to see our disappointments, obstacles, and challenges as being allowed by You. Grant us the graces of faith to accept our hardships as opportunities to grow in our trust of You. May we thank You for all the crosses You provide, and be ready to accept whatever You ask of us. Father, stretch out Your Arms to protect us when we take up our crosses. Jesus, come into our hearts and grant us an unquenchable thirst to follow You. And Beautiful Spirit, anoint us as worthy disciples with Your Brandishing Love. “My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.”* AMEN
*Psalm 51: 17
Word/Image: Living Hope
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who in his great mercy gave us a new birth to a living hope
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading,
kept in heaven for you
who by the power of God are safeguarded through faith,
to a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the final time.
1 Peter 1: 3-5
Father Architect of Every Plan and Blessing, Jesus our King of Glory, and Holy Spirit our fathomless Well of Never Ending Love, the Victory of Life over death is Yours. We bless and praise Your Holy Name. You have reversed the gravity of our selfish ways, and potentiated fresh seeds of care, charity, and faith in our spirits. Please fashion us into new creations through the Blood of Mercy poured as libations on our sins. We trust in You and know that death has no power over us. Help us cling to the Hope of our inheritance. You have made our Purpose in life clear, and You never stop inviting us to taste and see the goodness of Your Love. Show us how to find our way, by losing ourselves completely in the mystery, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Awaken our sacred imaginations to the wonders of being in Your Loving Presence with imperishable bodies cloaked in Your Glory. May our “Yes” to you and Your Gifts of Mercy and Salvation, light Holy Fires of Faith that spread from our hearts to everyone around us. Father, build Your Kingdom in our spirits. Jesus, open us to the Wisdom of Your Tenderness, Compassion, and Teachings. And Beautiful Spirit, Lavish us with refreshing, Lovely, Breezes of Joy. “I believe I shall see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord, take courage; be stouthearted, wait for the Lord!”* AMEN
