God loves each of us as if they were only one of us.
St. Augustine

Have you noticed how people, places, animals, and things have unique signatures? There’s a “one of a kindness” specificity with how we stand in the world. To use today’s vernacular: everyone has a vibe!
Now… Imagine an antenna perfectly and permanently attuned to your vibing frequency. We’re talking about God. Here’s the cincher. Not only is God attuned to you; He’s amped about you.

Consider… Our Creator in His eternal capacity to Love and be loved, fashioned you in His Heart. He has always known you, He has always embraced you, and He has always loved you.
We are the necessitated familial expressions of His Power, Goodness, Greatness, Mercy, Joy, and Love. We’re meant to be eternally enthroned with Him in a mystery of ecstatic and creative proportions. So, why does our All-in-All betroth us?
Made in His Image, we are fashioned as inexorable emergent instantiations of His Love. In other words, our Trinitarian God Glorifies Himself through His Surrender to His True Nature which is Love. In this way He becomes subject to Himself.

We are made to perpetuate and reflect His Love. Despite being cherished individuals, God invites us to become one with Him through our living embodied Communion in His Nature of Perfect Unconditional Love. Jesus Christ enacts and sanctifies our communion with the Father, Himself, and the Holy Spirit by His incarnation, life, passion, death, descent into hell, resurrection, ascension, gift of His Spirit, and His yet to be actualized salvific final judgment.
Our inheritance of His heavenly riches grants us participation in His infinite expressions of Love. May we pause in this Truth. May we drop to our knees in reverent wonder. And may we never stop praising God with endless songs of thanksgiving!
Now that we’ve got a little theology out of the way let’s get back to the theme of this reflection: “love the way God Loves you.”
There’s only one of you; now and forever. God deigns a way of relating to you because He delights in His connection with you. As crazy as it sounds, while God does not need anything but Himself, God wants to want you, and God glorifies His nature by needing you. It’s a mystery.
Our Lord speaks a dialect of Love that He has created just for the two of you, thereby ensuring maximum effective communicative reach. Our Lord paints the details of your life in colors calibrated to your palette’s proclivities. Our Lord sweeps down from His throne and Graciously lavishes you with people, situations (blessings and trials), and revelations to guide your journey into His Heart.
Diversity is God’s Love language. His Love finds fruition in its motive ambulating capacity to penetrate all things. God’s intimating Love achieves multiplicative scale by working in us, with us, and through us. Everything God does for you, and in you, is optimized to magnify His Love.
Comparing yourself with others and permitting unhealthy forms of meddling competition have horrible effects on your capacity to love the way God Loves you. These human tendencies are exacerbated by bouts of oblivious ingratitude. Have you noticed how ingratitude and selfishness are in cahoots with shame, guilt, and self-perceptions of unworthiness and ineptitude? Ah, welcome to the human condition and join the club. Please be kind to yourself. Take solace. Know that God Loves You.

Why not seize this perfect relationship and accept its unique Love signature? Your relationship with God especially through your communion with Jesus Christ must have primacy in your life. All of the wonderful comings and goings of life’s vibrant and varied movements mean nothing if Jesus is not your cornerstone.
Let’s get practical. Using the five precious wounds of Jesus here’s how you can get started in loving the way God Loves you:

- Sport Your Crown
You are a royal adopted child of God. Wear your crown with joy. Marvel at how God makes Himself known to you. Make it a part of your daily routine to recollect the specific ways that God was present, communicating, and working. Go out of your way to relish the bedazzling crowns of others and be their affirming mirrors through your words and actions. - Hand Him the Glory
Do everything for Him… taking a breath, sitting in silence, embracing moments of boredom, smiling, laughing, crying, helping someone, lifting up a prayer for another person’s need, soaking in the beauty of nature, ruminating with gratitude, exercising, eating, reading, worshipping, singing, and even sleeping… DO EVERYTHING FOR HIM. - Beg for More
God’s Love is a FREEBIE SALE that never ends or runs out of inventory. The warranty is rock-solid, and the customer service is angelic! Put out your hand and beg God for more Love. He will never refuse your request for more of His Love. God will make you an earthen vessel overflowing with His Love. This is how He builds His Kingdom. - Take Sides
Come to the side of others. Relentlessly insist on acknowledging and celebrating God’s unique Love for them. Be a curator of God’s ceaseless expressions of Love. Be a steward of other’s burgeoning capacity to love the way God Loves them. Be an inciter of galvanizing others’ efforts to die to themselves and be born in the Spirit’s bond of endless Love.

5. Walk it Off
Let the world know and see how God Loves you. Get out there and walk off the Lord’s Love. It’s not about flaunting or making others feel jealous; it’s about sharing the Goodness of the Way, Truth and Life of God. Be a bright, twinkling star in the constellation of God’s Heaven.
OKAY… Are you ready to love the way God Loves you? The unique Love our Lord shares with you from the fullness of Himself becomes our gift. God knits the threads of His Love into a blanket forever unfurling and embracing all of creation.
God, we praise You!
God, we thank You!
God, we love you!
Glory to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now and forever shall be world without end. AMEN
Jeremiah 31:3 The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.
Jude 1: 21 keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
Zephaniah 3:17 The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.
